The Netherlands is home to a vibrant film industry with an open attitude towards international coproduction.
The Netherlands Film Fund is the national agency responsible for supporting film production and film related activities in the Netherlands. Its focus is to develop and strengthen Dutch cinema and film culture both domestically and internationally by offering the following:
- A variety of selective support schemes on production for minority Dutch co-productions.
- A cash rebate up to 35% on production costs spent in the Netherlands.
- Financial research-support for location scouts, line producers and post-production supervisors for international production companies through the Netherlands Film Commission.
Netherlands Film Production Incentive
The Fund’s intention is to use the Netherlands Film Production Incentive (NFPI) to provide incentives to film productions developed and produced with creative and production freedom and in so doing increase the production activity for creative and technical film professionals and film companies in the Netherlands, while at the same time strengthening the international competitive position of the Dutch film industry.

The Netherlands Film Commission is the general resource for all film related inquiries such as locations, permits and Dutch incentive production companies.

SEE NL is a collaboration between Eye Filmmuseum and the Netherlands Film Fund dedicated to the international promotion of Dutch films, film professionals and film culture.
