Three Dutch minority co-productions supported

In the first round of 2022 three projects are selected for support.

The Minority co-production feature film and documentary support scheme focuses on co-productions with a substantial creative and technical contribution from the Netherlands.

The projects are:

Charlie Chaplin, A Man of the World, documentary

Logline: Charlie Chaplin, A Man of the World is a unique journey into Charlie Chaplin's roots to understand his gypsy origins, music and films, through the eyes of his family and great gypsy artists.

Father, documentary

Logline: A journalist estranged from her violent father discovers that he’s become a victim of work exploitation. When she agrees to help him expose the injustice, it reopens the wounds of their past. Will she find ways to forgive him?

The Omen, feature film

Logline: Koffi (35) lives in Belgium and is about to become a father. He sees this as an opportunity to return to his native Congo with his girlfriend Alice (30). At the time, he was rejected as a child, now he wants to reconnect with his family. Despite his girlfriend's pregnancy, his mother, Mom, is still unable to give him love.
