Two documentaries selected for NFF + IBF Co-Production Scheme

The documentaries Oh Heart Don’t Be Afraid by Ana Kvichidze and Before the Fire by Angel Giovanni Hoyos have been selected for the Netherlands Film Fund + IDFA Bertha Fund Co-Production Scheme.

Minority co-productions in the documentary category that have received a contribution from the IDFA Bertha Fund for development or production are eligible for a realization contribution from the scheme.

Logline: Before the Fire follows a Mapuche community in southern Argentina as they determinedly defend their right to recover their ancestral territory and preserve their customs. The daily routine of this community is abruptly interrupted when two hired assassins murder one of its members. A film about the inspiring struggle for land and the courageous search for the recovery of memory.
