Fund supported co-productions at Cannes 2026

The 79th edition of the Cannes Film Festival will kick off on Tuesday, May 12th. The French festival will feature two Fund supported international co-productions with a Dutch share.

The following projects have been selected:

Coward (Official Competition)

Co-production: Versus OPUS (BE), Lumen Films (FR)

Logline: 1916. Pierre, a diligent soldier, meets the flamboyant Francis in the rear-line camps during World War I. To pass the time and boost morale, Francis wants to organize a revue for the soldiers. Together, they seem to find a way to escape the cycle of violence, even if only for a brief moment.

The Station (Semaine de la Critique)

Logline: In a women's petrol station in Yemen, the bond between three siblings is put to the test when war forces them to make impossible decisions.
