Another Round wins Oscar for Best International Feature Film

At Sunday during the 93rd Academy Awards the Danish co-production with Mads Mikkelsen won the Oscar for Best International Feature Film.

Director Thomas Vinterberg also received a nomination for Best Director (won by Chloe Zhao for Nomadland).

Another Round, written by Thomas Vinterberg and Tobias Lindholm, produced by Film I Väst (SE) in co-production with Zentropa Sweden (SE) and Topkapi Films (NL), won the BAFTA for Best Film Not In The English Language earlier this month, has been previously honoured the Official Selection label at Cannes Film Festival 2020 and had its international premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. It has already won numerous prizes, including Best European Film, Best European Director and Best European Screenwriter at the European Film Awards, the Silver Shell for Best Actor at San Sebastian and Best Film at BFI London. Furthermore the film has received a Golden Globe Awards nomination for Best Foreign Language Picture (SEE-NL.com).

The film is supported by the Netherlands Film Fund (Minority co-production feature film and documentary) and the Netherlands Film Production Incentive.
