Support for two new Dutch films

The films Heinz and When my Father Became a Bush have been granted production support by the Netherlands Film Fund. Both films are adaptations of existing works.

The feature-length animated film Heinz (director and screenwriter: Piet Kroon, production: BosBros) receives production funding of €500,000.
Logline: Moody Amsterdam freeloader Heinz, star of the pleasantly deranged cartoon strips Windig and de Jung, saves the world from destruction, relying more on luck than judgement.

When my Father Became a Bush (directed by Nicole van Kilsdonk, screenplay: Nicole van Kilsdonk and Maureen Versprille, production: Lemming Film) receives production funding of €550,000.
Logline: After war breaks out in the south, Toda's father has to defend his country. Toda herself is sent to stay with her mother, who lives in a neighbouring land... not a simple journey in wartime. But Toda is a plucky girl who doesn't give up easily - she is determined to find her mother! An adventure story with laughs, thrills and emotion.
