One-time Call: Support for Dutch Minority Co-productions with Ukrainian Filmmakers

Dutch co-producers of a Dutch minority co-production involving a Ukrainian director and/or screenwriter and a Ukrainian producer can apply to the Netherlands Film Fund for a realisation grant during a one-time call. The grant can be requested for the production of a feature film, feature-length animated film, or documentary.

In 2022, 2023, and 2024, the Dutch government opened support funds for artists who had fled the Russian aggression and were residing in the Netherlands. Following this initiative, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science made additional funding available in September 2025. This one-time scheme specifically focuses on co-productions in which Ukrainian directors and screenwriters collaborate with Dutch partners to realise their film projects.

Submitted film projects must demonstrate strong artistic and substantive quality and include substantial creative and technical input from Dutch film professionals.

Eligibility and Support

Applications can be submitted by the Dutch minority co-producer of the project. A maximum contribution of €200,000 can be requested for (animated) feature films and €100,000 for (animated) documentaries.
