Netherlands Film Production Incentive proves highly successful

The first analysis of the Netherlands Film Production Incentive scheme shows highly encouraging and positive results. The independent research, carried out over the period July 2014 to December 2015, indicates that the scheme has strengthened the Dutch film infrastructure and has boosted the industry’s international competitiveness. Production activity in the Netherlands has increased significantly since the launch of the scheme in 2014.

In total, the Netherlands Film Fund has supported 125 film projects with grants totalling €28.9 million, which has led to total Dutch spend of €139.3 million. Every euro granted by the Incentive Scheme has generated Dutch production spend of €4.83. 29 June this years second round of grants of the Netherlands Film Production Incentive will be announced.
