Netherlands Film Production Incentive invests € 6.9 million in 13 new productions and 2 high-end TV-series

In the fourth round of the Netherlands Film Production Incentive of 2019 contributions were made to 15 productions for a total amount of € 6.9 million. These include 12 feature films, 1 animated feature film, 1 drama series and 1 documentary series, including 10 international co-productions.

These contributions will generate more than € 24.8 million in production expenses in the Netherlands across the entire spectrum of Dutch film professionals and film companies.

In this round a contribution was made a.o. to the feature BO about the 20-year-old Bo, who encounters truck driver Levan while visiting her father’s grave. The feature Lucy goes Gangsta was also granted Production Incentive, in which happy-go-lucky, loveable Lucy (10) decides to rob a bank. And the magical-realistic film Narcosis, in which a mother and her two children try to avoid the death of their husband and father in their own peculiar way, was also granted incentive.

Bon Bini Holland 3 is the third part of the successful Bon Bini films in which all the popular characters return to the big screen. Three times as funny, three times as romantic and three times as much onbeskofte action!

Costa 2021 (feature film) has been granted a financial contribution of € 554,868

Upcoming application round 2020

The next application round for Netherlands Film Production Incentive for both film productions and high-end TV series is February 3, 2020. The Netherlands Film Production Incentive offers a financial contribution in the form of a cash rebate on the qualifying production costs that are demonstrably spent in the Netherlands.
