Netherlands Film Production Incentive invests € 2.3 million in 19 new productions

In the third round of 2017, 19 film projects have been granted a total of over € 2.3 million in cash rebates through the Netherlands Film Production Incentive Scheme. These projects will generate over € 10.2 million in production expenditure within the Netherlands. The contributions are granted to 9 feature films, 1 animated feature film and 9 documentaries, including 11 international co-productions.

The highest cash rebate contribution of € 514,504 in this round was awarded to Coupe Confused from producer BosBros. This family film is directed by Mischa Kamp and is based on the book by Tamara Bos. Also Domino, the latest feature film by Brian de Palma, produced by Danish Schønne Film in co-production with the Dutch N279 has been granted cash rebate.

In the first three rounds of 2017, 55 film projects have been granted a total of € 12 million euro in cash rebates through the Netherlands Film Production Incentive Scheme.

Application rounds
As of October 1, 2017, the Film Production Incentive has been modified and now also offers cash rebate for high-end TV series.
There will be two more application rounds in 2017, with submission deadline of 31 October for film productions and 7 November 2017 for high-end TV series.

The Netherlands Film Production Incentive offers cash rebate on the qualifying Dutch production costs spent in the Netherlands.
