Four Oscar nominations for The Secret Agent
The Secret Agent is in the running for four Academy Awards in March. The Brazilian film, which was partly produced by the Dutch company Lemming Film, has been nominated in the categories Best Picture, Best International Feature Film, Best Actor in a Leading Role, and Best Casting.
Earlier this month, the film by director Kleber Mendonça Filho already won two Golden Globes, for Best Foreign Language Film and Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama. At the Academy Awards, The Secret Agent appears in no fewer than four categories. The Oscars ceremony will take place on Sunday, 15 March.
The Secret Agent premiered in 2025 at the Cannes Film Festival. Its Dutch premiere will take place on Saturday, 31 January, during the International Film Festival Rotterdam.
