European support for Dutch co-productions

Two Dutch features, Pink Moon (previous title Methusalem) and Sleep. have been granted production support in the latest round of Eurimages funding. Also, two Dutch minority features have been granted support: documentary Shanghai Youth and youth film Lucy Goes Gangsta.

Floor van der Meulen’s Pink Moon is granted €250.000 by Eurimages. The film is produced by Keplerfilm in co-production with Nefertiti Film (IT), Tramal Films and Staragara (SI).

Sleep., directed by Jan-Willen van Ewijk, is granted €230.000 and is produced by The Filmkitchen in co-production with Savage Film (BE).

Two Dutch minority co-productions are supported by Eurimages as well. Shanghai Youth, directed by Wang Bing and produced by House on Fire and Gladys Glover Films (FR) in co-production with Les Film Fauves (LU), Chinese Shadows Limited (CN) and Volya Films (NL), has been granted €130.000. Lucy Goes Gangsta by Till Endemann, produced by Indi Film GMBG (DE) in co-production with Phanta Film and Bos Bros (NL) has been granted €150.000.

Eurimages, the co-production fund of the Council of Europe, was founded in 1989 and consists of 38 member states, plus Canada as an associate member. The fund is committed to the co-production, distribution and exhibition of European cinema. The Council meets four times a year, The Netherlands is represented at Eurimages by the Netherlands Film Fund.
