Eurimages grants 961,000 euros to four Dutch co-productions

Three majority, and one minority, Dutch films have been awarded production support from Eurimages. The majority films Monk, Meester Kikker and Walking to Paris received a total 761,000 euros while the minority co-pro Rehepapp was awarded 210,000 euros.

Monk writer Roosmarijn Roos Rosa de Carvalho and director Ties Schenk were awarded 190,000 euros. Dutch producer is Viking Film, with A Private View from Belgium undertaking co-production duties.

Writer Mieke de Jong and director Anna van der Heijde have been granted 291,000 euros in Eurimages support for Meester Kikker. The Dutch producer is BosBros, with Prime Time from Belgium acting as co-producer.

Writer and director Peter Greenaway’s Walking to Paris reveives 280,000 euros from Eurimages. The film is a co-production between Dutch producer Cinatura, Cobra Film from Switzerland, Abis Studio from Romania and CDP in France.

Dutch minority co-pro Rehepapp (produced by Estonian Homeless Bob Productions and directed by Rainer Sarnet), is co-produced by Amsterdam-based PRPL.

Eurimages, the co-production fund of the Council of Europe, was founded in 1988 and consists of 36 Member States. It is committed to the co-production, distribution and exhibition of European cinema. The Council, which meets four times a year, has already supported 1.654 long feature-length films and long documentaries.

The Netherlands is represented at Eurimages by the Netherlands Film Fund.
