€ 840,000 in European support for 3 Dutch co-productions
Where Is Anne Frank, the latest animated film by Ari Folman (director and script) is granted €450.000 by Eurimages. The film is produced by Purple Whale Films (BE) in coproduction with Walking the Dog (BE), Samsa Film (LU), Bridgit Folman Film Gang (IL), Submarine Animation (NL) and Le Pact (FR).
The feature film The Consequences by Claudia Pinto (script: Claudia Pinto, Eduardo Sanchez Rugeles) is granted €330.000. Spanish producer of this international coproduction is Sin Rodeos Films España (ES), Dutch coproducer is N279 Entertainment (NL) and Belgian coproducer is Potemkino (BE).
Dutch minority documentary The Miracles of Almeria by Moon Blaisse (script: Moon Blaisse, Thomas Bellinck) is granted € 60,000 euro. Producer is Cassette for Timescapes (BE) in coproduction with BALDR film (NL).
All films have previously been granted production support by the Netherlands Film Fund.
Eurimages, the co-production fund of the Council of Europe, was founded in 1989 and consists of 38 member states, including Canada as an associate member. The fund is committed to the co-production, distribution and exhibition of European cinema. The Council meets four times a year, The Netherlands is represented at Eurimages by the Netherlands Film Fund.
