Dutch docs at CPH:DOX 2025

CPH:DOX is running from March 19 to March 30. A range of Dutch (co-)productions is off to Denmark's capital.

In the Highlights section is Suzanne Raes feature doc Where Dragons Live**. The imaginative and intimate portrayal of an eccentric family coming to terms with the loss of their parents, childhood and family home world premiered at Sheffield Docfest 2024 and was selected for IDFA. SEE NL spoke to Raes about her film before heading to Sheffield. The film is produced by Docmakers, sales are handled by Film Harbour.

Seen Unseen: An Anthology of (Auto)Censorship* (prod. Institute of Time) by the Seen Unseen Collective is part of the festival's Artists & Auteurs section. The work, in which a group of filmmakers and artists from Turkey collaborated to create videos on “(auto)censorship”, in response to the increasingly repressive climate in Turkey, world premiered at IFFR and had its international at MoMa Doc Fortnight.

Furthermore, six Dutch co-productions have been selected throughout different festival sections:

    DOX:AWARD (12 films have been selected to compete in the festival's international main competition)
    NL co-prod: Basalt Film
