Call for Thuthuka: NFVF + NFF Co-development scheme

"“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together""

- Nelson Mandela

In July, we introduced Thuthuka, a brand new co-fund between the Netherlands Film Fund and the National Film and Video Foundation from the Republic of South Africa. From today on, it's possible to apply for a total grant of €40.000 per project.

Thuthuka is an initiative of the National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF) and the Netherlands Film Fund (NFF) to promote cooperation between South Africa and the Netherlands.

Under this joint scheme an application can be submitted for a contribution for writing an original script (not an adaptation) and a pitch book in co-production for a feature film, long documentary or animated film intended for cinema release. A total of 4 projects will be supported each year: 2 Dutch majority and 2 South African majority films.

The deadline for Thuthuka is 1 November 2021.
