Benedetta selected for Cannes 2021

Paul Verhoeven's new film (in co-production with Topkapi Films) with Virginie Efira joins the Official Selection of the 74th Cannes Film Festival! The film will be screened in Competition and will have its World Premiere at Cannes on July 9.

Benedetta tells the story of a 17th-century nun in Italy who suffers from disturbing religious and erotic visions. She is assisted by a companion, and the relationship between the two women develops into a romantic love affair.

The 74th edition of the Cannes Film Festival will take place from 6 to 17 July 2021. The full official selection will be announced on 27 May 2021.
