Vijf coproducties met Nederland geselecteerd voor Locarno

Vijf coproducties met een Nederlands aandeel zijn geselecteerd voor het prestigieuze internationale filmfestival van Locarno.

De film A Land Imagined* van Yeo Siew Hua is geselecteerd voor de Concorso Internazionale en beleeft op het festival de wereldpremière. De film is geproduceerd door Akanga Film Asia (Singapore), het Nederlandse Volya Films is een van de coproducenten. Ook Too Late to Die Young* van Dominga Sotomayor, geproduceerd door Cinestación (Nederlandse coproducent: Circe Films) dingt mee naar een Gouden Luipaard.

In het programma Concorso Cineasti del Presente gaat de film Yesterday* (Tegnap) van Bálint Kenyeres in wereldpremière. De producent is Hongaarse Mirage Film. Rotterdam Films is een van de coproducenten.

Tenslotte zijn er ook nog twee korte films geselecteerd: Heart of Hunger van Bernardo Zanotta en Gulyabani van Gürcan Keltek.
