Netherlands Film Production Incentive invests € 3.5 million in 15 new productions

In the second round of 2017, 15 film projects have been granted a total of over 3.5 million euro in cash rebates through the Netherlands Film Production Incentive Scheme. Amounts vary between 36,000 and 1,000,000 euro. These projects will generate over 16.7 million euro in production expenditure within the Netherlands. The contributions are granted to 14 feature films and 1 documentary, including 10 international co-productions.

The maximum amount of 1 million euro cash rebate was granted to Rotterdam, I love You. After Paris Je T’Aime and New York, I Love You, this is the next installment in the worldwide ‘Cities of Love’ series. Directors such as Claire Denis, Mike Figgis, Paula van der Oest and Martin Koolhoven will be directing.

This round also marked the first cash rebate to be granted to an international co-production between China and The Netherlands: Dead & Beautiful by director David Verbeek.
