New call for Thuthuka
For the first time, the South African and Dutch producers and writers from the first 4 Thuthuka projects, Die Wrede Relaas van Vuilgat en Stilte, Brace Yourself, Show Up and Solar, met in real life as part of the Thuthuka project, our joint development scheme. In Capetown they pitched their projects and attended workshops and networkevents.
This year, the NFVF and the Netherlands Film Fund organise a new call for Thuthuka. From September 1st 2022, you can apply for development support for writing a scenario for a long feature, animation or documentary co-production. The grant amounts to € 40.000 or the equivalent in ZAR and will be awarded to 4 projects; 2 majority Dutch and 2 majority South African productions.
