NFF + HBF coproduction scheme

Within the framework of The Netherlands Film Fund (NFF) and The Hubert Bals Fund (HBF) Coproduction Scheme, the Film Fund annually provides four feature co-productions, which have had script development from HBF, with 50.000 euro each.

Who can apply

Applications for production support can be submitted twice per year by the Dutch producer (click here), who must have produced at least one theatrically released majority Dutch feature film in the Netherlands.

Amount

Maximum contribution 50,000 euro. 

During IFFR the HBF also presents the Dutch Post-production Awards (in collaboration with the Netherlands Film Fund and the Netherlands Post production Alliance) to 2 international HBF  co-productions, which have previously been supported in development.

Primary conditions

  • Maximum 10% overhead and producers fee
  • At least 50% of the committed amount must be spent on Dutch services, cast and crew
  • The project must have had script development support from the HBF
  • The total production budget can not be more than 1,000,000 euro
  • The Dutch producer must have produced at least one theatrically released majority Dutch feature
